πŸš€ Boost Your Business or Nonprofit with the Right Social Media Platforms

Happy Thursday Reader!

We all know that social media can be a powerful tool to reach people and grow your business or nonprofit. But there are so many different social media channels, how many of them do you have to be on? And how do you know which ones are right for you?

The good news is that you CAN make social media work for you with less effort by focusing on the right things in the right places. The key to this is choosing the right social media platforms.

I know - social media can be overwhelming when looking at everything you have to do as a whole. Often, I find that my clients get stuck and either try to do too much or they don't do anything at all.

With so many social media platforms available, you might feel like you have to be active on many, or even all of them. But this is rarely the most effective use of time and resources for an organization. It's more important to focus on a few platforms where the people you want to reach are already active.

By building a presence on just 2 or 3 social media platforms, you'll be able to reach your target audience more effectively than if you were spreading yourself thin by trying to maintain a presence on every platform.

Pick the social media platforms that make the most sense for your organization, and then put your effort into creating a strong and engaging presence on those platforms.

I always recommend focusing on 1 or 2 platforms where your people are spending time. You will see better results putting consistent and focused effort into a few platforms rather than trying to hit all of them (or even just 4 or 5). You don't have to be everywhere, you just have to be where your target audience is!

Stay tuned in the coming weeks as I cover some techniques for narrowing down what platforms make the most sense for your business or nonprofit and how you can use them most effectively!

When it comes to improving your social media, it’s easy to think you need a brand-new strategy, a complete rebrand, or hours of extra time. But most of the progress comes from small, consistent shifts. Here are a few that make a big difference: 1️⃣ Pick one platform to focus on. Instead of trying to show up everywhere, choose the platform where your audience is most active and start there. 2️⃣ Simplify your content. You don’t need something new every day. A few strong posts each week (even...

Hi Reader! When it comes to organic social media, one of the most common questions is: What should I actually be measuring? The answer depends on your goals. If you want more visibility, focus on reach, impressions, and audience growth. If you want stronger engagement, look at comments, shares, saves, and meaningful conversations. If your goal is generating business, track website visits, inquiries, calls, and leads that mention social media. The real issue is this:πŸ‘‰ not every post is designed...
